Using the SB transposon system, we have generated a large repertoire mutant mice with transposon inserted into functional genes and are in the process of characterizing them. Below is an example of one such line (PV50) with transposon inserted into the Bmpr1b gene. Founder mouse was GFP-positive and phenotype obtained by heterozygote intercrosses were similar to previously reported knock-out studies [Development 127: 621-630, 2000; PNAS 98:7994-7999,2001].
